Forgetting to renew a domain name or not updating payment details happens to the best of us; even large businesses have had a few days of panic after failing to renew their domain name (e.g. London toy store Hamleys’ failure to renew hamleys.com) or you may change your mind once the cancellation period has started.
In the event this happens to you, or if you are a reseller, one of your customers, all is not lost! In the renewals section of the Heart Internet Customer Control Panel you can now renew domain names that have been set to cancel or have not been automatically renewed due to a failed payment.
The section is called “Cancelled Domain Names” and is at the bottom of the page. Cancelled domains will appear in here for 28 days, the customer can click for the domain to be moved back into the main renewals list where they can either renew it now or let it be auto renewed on the next try.

Following on from our recent increase in mail box size from 250MB to 400MB, if you are one of our web hosting resellers you can now view the size of your customer’s mailboxes ordered by the largest mailbox.
The table shows the email address, how much of their quota they have used so far, their mail box size limit and how much they have used as a percentage of the total.

We have now increased your Heart Internet mailbox quotas (for pop3 and IMAP) to 400MB! In just a few short months we have gone from 100MB to 250MB and now up to 400MB.
We want to make sure all Heart Internet customers can continue to manage their large attachments without having to constantly worry about deleting old emails. As someone who never likes to delete an Email, 400MB is great news!

We have upgraded our main control panel and central database infrastructure today as well as moving it to a different part of our network. The upgrade seems to have gone quite smoothly even though it is not something we would like to do every day!This upgrade is a major part of our ongoing upgrade programme, over the next few weeks the Heart Internet website (including the blog) will be getting a new server and our name server setup is also being upgraded and streamlined.
