We’re pleased to announce that we’ve updated our Joomla one click install to version 2.5. Joomla has continued to develop in leaps and bounds over the years, and 2.5 follows version 1.7 in extending the CMS’s functionality further.
What’s new
Joomla 2.5 is a significant release and there are plenty of new features and improvements across the platform.

How to install
If you’re a Home Pro or Business Pro web hosting customer, simply log into eXtend and scroll down to the Joomla 2.5 icon to install via our one-click installer.
If you’re a reseller hosting customer, you’ll need to activate it for your hosting packages first by logging into the Reseller Control Centre and clicking ‘Configure Hosting Packages’. Once you’ve selected a package to edit, scroll down and check the ‘Joomla’ box. Then save your changes by clicking ‘Edit Package’.

I have just installed 1.7 via your 1 click setup but have not yet used it. How do i install/update to version 2.5 ?

If you’ve not changed or added anything you want to keep, it’s probably best to delete your 1.7 install and then follow the instructions above for installing 2.5.

I would have waiting a bit before adding 2.5
Also Microsoft put some funding into supporting 2.5 on windows server technology
So it “should” work better than previous versions
