We have teamed up with ComputerArts magazine to run a competition for you to design a brand new magazine advert for Heart Internet. As well as being published in Computer Arts, the winning entry will be showcased on the Heart Internet website, blog and newsletter. The winning designer will also receive:
- A brand new 15-inch 2.53Ghz MacBook Pro
- Free Heart Internet Business Pro hosting and .com domain name for a year
The brief
Create a full-page magazine advert advertising the Heart Internet reseller hosting product to the web designer market. It is important the advert stands out in what is a very competitive industry, but also clearly represents Heart Internet’s current branding as represented by the website: www.heartinternet.co.uk
The winning advert will be published in Computer Arts, so it is important that it follows the following printing specifications: Type: 203×280, trim: 222×300, bleed: 228×306
How to enter
To enter go to www.computerarts.co.uk/heart and upload a low resolution (72dpi) Tiff or JPEG of your advert. The closing date is 30th September 2009

Hi Matthew,
As is the case with some other people, I’m having trouble unzipping the logo files. Could you email uncompressed versions of them to me (gjohnrees@yahoo.co.uk)?
Many thanks,
John

Hi Matthew,
Any idea when the winner is likely to be chosen and how many entries have you received?
Thanks again for hosting this competition. I’ve really enjoyed working on it.
Best wishes,
John
John
I’m glad you enjoyed it. We’ve had some really good entries sent through and we are going to sit down in the next fews days, go through them all and whittle them down to the winning advert. As soon as we have picked the winner and let them know, we’ll announce it on the blog.
Matt
Has there been a chosen winner yet?
David
Yes we have chosen a winner! Because of the high standard of the entires we have also picked out 2 ‘runners-up’ we really liked as well who will get a years free reseller hosting for their efforts. We are in the process of getting in touch with the designers and we want to let them know they have won before we make the winning entry public.
Matt
Are you able to make the winning entry public yet?
Hi Matthew,
I’m very keen to see the winning entry. How are the designers being informed – email, phone or post?
Thanks,
John
Well done to the winners. Can’t wait to see the winning design.
Regards,
Mat.
