A quick post to let you know about the new project being developed by the team at Mozilla (the people behind the Firefox browser) and the prospects are quite exciting.  Called Bespin it is essentially an online HTML editor. Living in ‘The cloud‘ it is currently still only a prototype at version 0.1.1 but it is definately worth a look and play with and you can provide them with your feedback for improvements or report any bugs as well.

“Bespin proposes an open extensible web-based framework for code editing that aims to increase developer productivity, enable compelling user experiences, and promote the use of open standards.”

For me the big seller is people being able to work on the same file at the same from anywhere in the world regardless of what system they are running or what software they have on their computer.
