Thanks for visiting our web hosting blog. Keep up to date with all the latest and subscribe to our RSS feed.

We have updated a number of the scripts you can install from eXtend to the latest version:

WordPress upgraded to V2.6.1

Joomla upgraded to V1.5.6

Locked Area Lite upgraded to V6.0

You might be interested to know that keeping the scripts we provide up-to-date is quite a big job, on average it takes 3 hours to update each one and on occasions when major changes are made to the script it can take a few days. Some scripts like Joomla and WordPress release a new version every few weeks!

Remember that if you would like to suggest a script to install you can do this from the feedback icon in our Control Panel.

    1. I find this blog extremely useful. Even if not every item is pertinent to me, at least I know I won’t miss any news, because I ALWAYS log on via the blog.

    2. I had “fun” with the previous (far too recent) upgrade for WordPress. And my blog, and those of clients, opened with a dire warning from WordPress that upgrade was essential. So much work and difficulty (perhaps having to upgrade for several clients) that I migrated to Blogger.com.

    3. So maybe I acted too hastily. Does the WordPress upgrade by Heart Internet mean that I don’t ever have to do it because HI will eventually do the upgrade?
If HI will always do the upgrade, are all Resellers’ clients’ sites will be upgraded – even those that are already running WordPress with a live blog? If that is the case, I may well take the time to migrate back! What fun that will be!!

  2. Hello Jonathan,

And just to rub it in, having installed WordPress again on my website, and been taken to the WordPress website, I received a very unfriendly message that I hadn’t logged (which I thought I had) but the big red button was there to download v 2.6.2 – so your recent upgrade is already out of date!

    I think I’ll be sticking with Google’s blogger.com for a while yet…
